The Dallas Mavericks are reportedly acquiring Santi Aldama from the Memphis Grizzlies in a trade that involves AJ Johnson moving to Memphis, according to multiple sources. This move is confirmed by reports from Yahoo Sports and other outlets, although official league confirmation is pending. The trade aims to bolster the Mavericks’ frontcourt depth ahead of the playoffs, making it a notable development for both teams.
Sources familiar with the negotiations indicate that the trade was finalized late Thursday, with the Mavericks sending AJ Johnson to Memphis in exchange for Santi Aldama. The deal was reportedly agreed upon by both teams and is awaiting league approval, which is standard for trades involving players of this caliber.
Santi Aldama, a 23-year-old forward, has shown promise as a versatile player capable of contributing both offensively and defensively. Neither team has officially announced the trade, but multiple credible sources, including Yahoo Sports, have confirmed the deal based on league and team sources.
